FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT ARE YOUR FEES?

Our fees are some of the most afforable fees in Sydney! In order to keep our fees low, we are not able to advertise them publicly. Please send us an inquiry form (located on the Contact page) if you would like to visit our centre and learn about the fees.

CAN I VISIT THE SCHOOL?

Yes, of course! Although it's good to give some notice so that we can ensure one of the teachers will be available to talk to you, you do not need to make an appointment. We have an Open Door Policy. This means you can trust that whatever you see is the truth.

WHAT AGE CAN MY CHILD START?

We take children from the wonderful and active age of 14 months old, all the way up to 5 years old.

IS THE FOOD HALAL CERTIFIED?

Yes, our food is halal certified.

WHAT IF MY CHILD CRIES?

It is very normal for your child to cry when they first begin at the centre - especially if they have never been to preschool or long day care before. Our teachers are known to be extremely caring and thoughtful, and will never ever leave a crying child alone. Before we teach your child anything, it is always our first priority to make sure they become comfortable with their teachers and friends, and feel happy that they can trust us! This can take anywhere up to one month, and sometimes more if your child cannot speak English or if they have had traumatic events in their childhood. We will always keep you updated on your child's settlement process. You can view their photos through our documentation website, StoryPark, or you can call at any time during the day to check on them. We do not advise that you visit during the day, as this can cause extreme stress and confusion for your child, and make their crying last much longer.

IS IT OKAY IF MY CHILD CAN'T SPEAK ENGLISH?

Yes! We pride ourselves on having a very multicultural centre - we have had many, many children over the years who have come to us without any English skills. We have enjoyed the journey of getting to know them, and learn words from their own language, to communicate with them and begin to teach them English. We have had many success stories!

CAN YOU TOILET TRAIN MY CHILD?

Of course. We can work with you to toilet train your child, but you need to make sure that you are also training them at home. It is easier to toilet train a child at home, and sometimes takes longer at preschool/long day care because they become distracted with playing and learning. However, we definitely take children who are toilet training and remind them during the day. Sometimes, children who are already toilet trained at home will have accidents at preschool/long day care - this is normal.

CAN I GET HELP FROM CENTRELINK?

We are unfortunately not able to contact Centrelink for you. You will need to first speak to Centrelink and apply for CCB/CCR and any other help. Once you have your approval, we can then access your CCB/CCR percentages through our system and provide you with the percentage amount you have received through centrelink, if you don't already know yourself.

I DON'T GET CENTRELINK - CAN I STILL COME?

Of course. You do not need Centrelink to be able to enrol your child. Please be aware that without Centrelink, you will need to pay the full fees on your own.
